About the Florence RedWolves:

The Florence RedWolves are a collegiate wooden bat baseball team that is a member of the Coastal Plain League.  The league has 15 teams that call Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia home.  The teams in the East Division are the Edenton Steamers, Fayetteville SwampDogs, Holly Springs Salamanders, Morehead City Marlins, Peninsula Pilots, Wilmington Sharks, and the Wilson Tobs.  The West Division is made up of the Asheboro Copperheads, Florence RedWolves, Forest City Owls, Gastonia Grizzlies, High Point- Thomasville Hi-Toms, Lexington County Blowfish, Martinsville Mustangs, and the Savannah Bananas. The teams play from the end of May to mid-August. Players come form Division I, II, & III schools from all over the country and Canada.

The Florence RedWolves were established in 1998. The team ownership changed hands in 2002, whenever Kevin and Donna Barth took over the franchise. Their philosophy is all about providing the Florence community with exciting family entertainment along with a great competitive baseball atmosphere every year. The RedWolves played their games at the Florence Legion Filed up until July of 2012, when the team moved to the beautiful Sparrow Stadium on the campus of Francis Marion University.

The RedWolves were the first and second half Western Division Champions in 2014 and CPL Championship Runners Up in the same season.  They had the 2014 Pitcher and Offensive Player of the Year, and hosted the 2015 Coastal Plain League All Star Game.
