The Florence RedWolves swept a Coastal Plain League doubleheader with the Fayetteville SwampDogs on Saturday night. The RedWolves took the first game 4-2 before winning the nightcap 11-5.
In the first game, Florence’s Alex Kreis (3-1) pitched a complete game. In his seven innings, Kreis gave up four hits, walked none and struck out four. Both Fayetteville runs were unearned. Seth Neely went 1-for-3 with two RBI to lead Florence at the plate.
In the second game, the RedWolves cranked out 19 hits, including 16 singles. Stephen Carmon and Trey Hernandez each went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI to lead Florence. Cory Tilton was 3-for-5 with a triple. Cash Collins (2-0) pitched five innings for the win. He gave up three hits, a run, walked none and struck out one.
