Florence RedWolves hurlers Colby Holmes and Jacob Smith combined to shut out the Wilson Tobs 7-0 in Coastal Plain League play Thursday night.

Holmes (2-2) worked the first seven innings. He gave up four hits, walked three and struck out four.

Smith was perfect in the eighth and ninth, striking out three.  Stephen Carmon was 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI for Florence, while Ethan Santora was 3-for-5 with an RBI.  Trey Hernandez finished 2-for-3 with two RBI for the RedWolves, while John Frost was 2-for-5 with an RBI and Will Fontnow was 2-for-4.

With that win, the Red Wolves hold on to first place in the entire Coastal Plain League with their league leading record of 24-11.
