Player History: 2009 PSAC Freshman of the Year 2009 All-PSAC First Team, Third Base 2009 NCBWA Third Team All-America 2009: Named PSAC Freshman of the Year and honored as an All-PSAC First Team Selection at third base… tied the Lakers single-season record with 16 homeruns, which is also the eighth-best single-season mark in PSAC history… finished among team leaders in several categories, including batting average (4th - .347), slugging percentage (2nd - .670), on-base percentage (5th - .456), runs scored (3rd – 50), hits (4th – 61), RBI (2nd – 54), doubles (5th – 9), total bases (T1st – 118) and walks (3rd – 33)… posted 16 multiple-hit games and 13 multiple-RBI contests… played 41 games at third base, 11 at shortstop and one appearance as the designated hitter… had the longest hitting streak of the season for the Lakers as he hit safely in the first 16 games of the season… during that 16-game stretch he hit .483 (28-for-58) with nine homers, 18 runs scored and 27 RBI…his record-tying longball came on April 25th in the first game of a doubleheader against California… in that game he went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI as the Lakers would go on to sweep the Vulcans and win the PSAC West title and earn the division’s No. 1 seed in the conference championship…had career-high 3 hits in six different games… posted a career-high five RBI against Gannon on March 14 when he went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two homeruns…helped the Lakers to the program’s first upset of a No. 1-ranked team on March 1 when Mercyhurst handed Lynn University a 10-6 defeat… in that game he went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two homeruns in addition to a bases-loaded walk.
