The Florence RedWolves keep their winning streak alive with a 3-0 victory of the Macon Bacon on Tuesday night at Sparrow Stadium.

The RedWolves got an excellent outing from Dylan Spence (The Citadel) who tossed 7 shutout innings giving up just three hits and striking out eight in rout to the win.

Backing his efforts was the offense that scored three times in the first five innings, which was capped when Joe Simone (Rider) scored on a wild pitch to take the commanding 3-0 lead.

Luke Sommerfeld picked up the save after tossing a scoreless ninth allowing just one hit and striking out one.

The RedWolves (9-6) will hit the road Wednesday and Thursday to take on Gastonia and Lexington County respectively before returning home on Friday to take on the Savannah Bananas.

Friday will be the Pepsi game of the week as well as Alzheimer's Awareness night. The RedWolves will be wearing specialty purple jerseys that will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to find a cure for Alzheimer's.
