The Florence RedWolves score two runs in the eighth inning to defeat the Macon Bacon 2-0 on Saturday night at Sparrow Stadium.

Kris Kuhn (College of Charleston) did it all tonight tossing 7 shutout innings giving up just two hits while striking out nine, but he left with the score still 0-0.

That would all change in the bottom of the eighth when Greg Vaughn Jr. (LIU-Brooklyn) lifted a single just down the left field line that scored Patrick Causa (Mount Saint Mary's) and Lenny Gonzalez (Francis Marion) to give the RedWolves the 2-0 lead and finally break the scoreless tie.

Luke Sommerfeld (Saint Louis) would finish the win out and pick up the save tossing a scoreless inning with three strikeouts.

Amos Willingham (Georgia Tech) would get the win tossing a scoreless inning allowing just one hit and striking out three.

The RedWolves (14-10) will hit the road Sunday to take on the Macon Bacon in Macon to start the second half.
