Three RedWolves named to All CPL Teams

Kristopher Kuhn and Joe Simone were named All CPL First Team while Johnathan Hughes was named All CPL Second Team for the 2018 season on August 23. 


Kuhn (College of Charleston) lead the CPL in innings pitched going 56.1 innings this summer, including a complete game victory over Savannah on July 14. Kuhn was named CPL Pitcher of the Week for Week 7 after his July 14 performance.


Kuhn finished the season with the second best ERA in the CPL at 2.08 and threw 58 strikeouts, fifth best in the league. Kuhn was also a CPL All Star for the National League.


Simone (Rider) batted .338 this season, fifth best in the CPL. Simone was also 10th in the league in hits with 51, third in doubles with 14 and third in On Base Percentage at .457. Simone was a member of both the CPL Select Team and the CPL National League All Star Team.


Hughes (Georgia Tech) was fourth in the CPL in ERA at 2.49. Hughes tossed 41 strikeouts in 2018, averaging just over seven strikeouts a game, eighth best in the CPL. 


Each ALL CPL team features 25 players: one player per each infield position, four designated hitter/utility players, five outfielders, seven starting pitchers and four relief pitchers.
