The Florence RedWolves lost to the Savannah Bananas 9-2 on Wednesday night at Grayson Stadium.
The Bananas (14-8) would answer with two in the bottom of the first and then never looked back. Savannah would add one in the third, three in the fifth and three in the eighth.
Florence would be able to one more run the rest of the night when John Mitchell Carter (Coastal Carolina) doubled and then scored on a groundout.
Carter and Mitch Barrow (Indiana State) led the team with two hits a piece on the night.
Brenden Kennedy (Mount Saint Mary's) got the start and took the loss for the RedWolves going 4 innings allowing six runs on seven hits while striking out five.
The RedWolves will return home on Thursday for a rematch with the Savannah Bananas.
Thursday will be Thirsty Thursday presented by Crown Beverage featuring the return of the $1 beer draft special. It will also be Tidal Wave t-shirt giveaway night.
Gates open at 6 pm with first pitch at 7 pm.
